Our Story

Founded in Karen in 2018

Founded in 2018 in Karen, Nairobi — Avecina International School has grown from a visionary early-years learning haven into a distinguished institution nurturing pupils from 9 months to 12 years with academic excellence, moral grounding, and global readiness.

Avecina International School’s grounds are a garden oasis featuring winding pathways, tall trees, and flowers. We provide an environment where children find enticing learning opportunities outdoors. From mud kitchens, road tracks, and climbing frames to playhouses, sand pits, and caring for our friendly rabbits, the environment blends indoor and outdoor learning.

Academic Traditions: Good Work Assemblies & Small Cohort Mentorship

Every month, our school community gathers for our signature Good Work Assemblies, where older children present projects and creative work directly to parents and peers — cultivating public speaking poise and celebrating individual accomplishment. Paired with our strict policy of small group classroom sizing, every learner receives attentive personal guidance from our experienced faculty.
